Jim Greenwood

So this was really challenging for all of us on the course who come from a very traditional background of this is how we, we teach, which we still see now, of course.

Um, and other people at the course, uh, um, who were teaching at Loughborough at the time, people like Jim Greenwood, who, um, was a, a really deep thinker in, in rugby, and he wrote two books that became my, my bible really when I started coaching rugby, um, a l- little bit later on, Total Rugby and Think Rugby.

Um, for a, for a young rugby coach with... played some rugby, but not much of a background, it was really good, um, useful tools for, for, for looking at, um, how to coach rugby.

Um, very quick years, done very quickly, very intense, almost 40 hours a week I reckon, and then teaching practice, and then you're out and you're looking for a job.
