Hazel, you've already heard in previous programmes, in various guises actually, but most recently last week, I think.

I think we just chatted away for about an hour, and after we were done, I just knew I had to get her on the podcast.

Um, so yeah, sh- I'm just, I'm so glad that we made this work, and I'm so excited to, um, highlight the adult Irish dance community, um, and especially with the work that Jig and a Swig, um, which is Jessie's company, is doing in London.

Um, and so, um, d- do you wanna go ahead and just, uh, take a l- we can read her bio and-

Yeah, why don't I just, I'll read a little s- a little snippet of her bio here and a little bit about, um, about Jig and a Swig.

So Jessie Leach founded Jig and a Swig in 2019 after a competitive career, uh, in Irish dance, uh, which included being crowned Great Britain, All-Ireland, and North American Champion, as well as placing third in the World Championships.

In 2016, Jessie qualified as an Irish dance teacher with On Commission before joining the cast of Riverdance, and then went on and toured with several other shows.

Uh, and then the story that she'll tell about getting from there to what she's doing now, um, is what the podcast is all about.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So she's got this new six-part comedy coming out called Jig.

Right.

Right? And it's all based around competitive Irish dancing, which I know so much about now.
