However, I did recently read a book by Charles Stanley called Eternal Security, where he did state that a lot of people have been taking that verse out of context, meaning the author was speaking to Christians.

uh the jewish people the jewish christians of that time and that they were trying to return to i guess like the old covenant in the old testament of animal sacrifices and neglect the actual sacrifice that christ made and i'm when i read the verse itself i it scares me because it to me it reads as if one could lose their salvation um if they continue to sin after uh receiving their salvation and obviously we we do tend to have a proclivity to sin in this sin nature even if we are saved we're not supposed to willfully sin but we can make mistakes and so i condemn myself sometimes when i fall into sin convict and condemn because i think of this verse and i think well i blew it even though i know no one's perfect

Okay, well, you know, Charles Stanley and I have taught different things on eternal security.

Of course, he's in heaven now, and I'm still down here in the fallible realm, but I think we're in agreement now.

Yahweh the Son.

So the Bible and Christians have believed for 2,000 years that God is triune.

But I want to do something different.

Instead of chasing down in the Old Testament the angel of the Lord passages, which we could do, I want to go to texts that show two persons and even three that are divine persons.

We're talking about three divine persons.

Are there a lot of wow moments so far in this study? Okay.

We should be as Christians, I believe, in a constant sense of wow.

A constant sense of, a constant state of awe that we have an awesome God.

deserve to be killed? And even if they are hybrids or Nephilim, the way I look at it, any being is just consciousness, right? And any being can choose light or dark.

There's two ways the early Christians talked about.

There's the sons of light and there's the sons of darkness.

There's the way of life or the way of death.

that's not Jesus.

That's not Jesus father.

And, you know, Christians believe that Jesus is the God of the Old Testament.

So you're you're telling me Jesus commanded them to take the virgins for yourself.

Liberation Organization or, uh, Palestine Authority, but the Palestinian Church was all Jewish.

It was tough for the Jewish Christians to accept-

the non-Jewish Christians.

Right.

Okay.

Okay.

Now, Paul is obviously trying to say something here in these verses, and, and as I said, y- it's, it's, it's a strong message.

And I'll just tell you right off it's a message that some Christians are not willing to listen to.

They're not willing to hear.

And that is because they are interpreting Paul's words here in these first four verses through the lens of their doctrine, and it is a particular doctrine.

And I, and I, I, I wanna be very careful about how I show this to you because I, I don't want you to jump to conclusions about what I'm going to say here because, uh, y- you need to hear me out on this, on this whole subject.

But there is a phrase that I often hear Christians say that really isn't as much a doctrine as much as it is as a, an, a summary of a doctrine, and it goes like this: "Once saved, always saved." And essentially that is the summary of a doctrine that we call the doctrine of eternal security.

Let me stop just for a moment here to say I believe in the doctrine of eternal security.

Maybe not the same way you do, but the end result is I am 100% secure in my salvation, and so, you know, I want you to know that I believe in eternal security.
