Tri and une, so three in one.

Um, and that Jesus is in the embodied Son of God.

He is the center of the gospel message, right, which invites all people to have union with God through Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection.

And we believe that He will someday return, and in the meantime, the Holy Spirit is empowering the gospel to be lived out and shared-

Social media and polarization can be so overwhelming that it becomes really hard to step back and think clearly or gain any kind of wise perspective.

What's your approach when your girl's friends are in a constant state of tension, backbiting, and anger? The impasse she's feeling is all but that.

According to the gospel, when Jesus is our common ground, then we've never lost hope to repair and restore broken relationships, even bad friend group dynamics.

But unfortunately, in some corners it can.

I want to give you guys an opportunity now to speak to, this is not some Christian conservative movement.

In fact, it's decidedly, anti-political, anti-anything, only pro our country, regardless of who you vote for, who you love, who you worship, or what your skin color is.

I think that's a real important part to understand that Patriots and people who love our country come in all kinds of different shapes, forms, and sizes, and you guys welcome all comers.

I think that's beautifully put, brother, and I completely agree.

And the tough part is everybody that does have this opportunity always makes it about themselves.

So I am a Christian myself.

I'm a follower of Jesus Christ, but that doesn't mean that I shut down other religions.

This is 2020 on Vision.

It's an opportunity to just open your heart, open your mind as to how the least reached people on the face of the earth actually get to hear the gospel and the usefulness of Christian media.

Now, you might be wondering about the efforts that go into reaching the least reached people in the world.

Well, media plays a vital role through local language programming.

That's Far East Broadcasting Company.

It's a global ministry focused on reaching difficult-to-reach communities.

And it's not always because of hostility to Christian faith.

Oftentimes we'll talk about persecution.

Why did she become such an important figure for women after this? And what does it mean now? to witness the backlash against her and Russell Moore, who later followed, which he is also a hero of mine, even though we don't agree theologically a lot of things.

what he did to stand up for people who are being abused and to speak up against Christian nationalism.

You know, they're not exactly the most liberal of people, but they became so targeted from their own Christian siblings because they spoke out about this within our denomination.

I think for people who are not Christian, who like just don't understand, like why can't more people just speak out against Trump or why can't more people just vote a different way or speak a different way? Their livelihoods are connected to all this.

You know, People have so

much to lose.

And I watched her struggle with wanting to keep Jesus at the center.

at the heart of her ministry, at the heart of everything she did.

but the Christian consciousness is not offended by hearing of a man in Christ.

It recognizes him as the home of the soul, its hiding place and shelter from the storm, its school, its fortress and defense from every foe.

He is not simply the babe of Bethlehem, the carpenter of Nazareth.

There are two experiences mentioned by Paul in this portion of Scripture.

One is abiding, the blessed but common everyday experience that is new every morning and fresh every evening, that the dust and toil of the day, nor the stillness and slumber of night, do not break nor disturb.

It is the very life of the Christian.

The other is a transitory experience, but for a moment, comparatively.

Here's my summary statement.

Those who take religious vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience consecrate themselves totally to God and serve the church through their unique vocations and are an example to all Christians that this earth is not our home.

Chapter 6.

Religious.

But before we conclude, let me give a summary and some commentary about what we just read.

Again, let me start by repeating the summary statement I read at the beginning.

Those who take religious vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience consecrate themselves totally to God and serve the church through their unique vocations and are an example to all Christians that this earth is not our home.

Let's break this chapter down section by section, beginning with section 43.

The Apostle Paul is essentially not just a moral man.

He essentially went to seminary with Jesus, right? I mean, he has this 40 days where Jes- uh, where, where he is taught.

Um, he is a missionary.

He is an apostle.

He says, "Lord, have mercy on me, not because I, I'm doing things well, or I'm trying to do things well, or I'm committed to change." He says, "Have mercy on me because You are loving, because You are forgiving, because You are gracious." Right? Um, at the very bottom of it, you know, we walk in, we walk into repentance, we walk into confession, and we need to understand that it is God's mercy, God's grace, God's steadfast love, that that is the reason why we can find forgiveness, why our sins can be blotted out, why He can't hide His face from our sins.

And when you realize that, it produces verse eight: "Let me hear joy and gladness.

Let the bones that you have broken rejoice." You see, if you realize that it's Jesus, that Jesus is the reason why you're forgiven, that Jesus is the reason why you can go before the Father and experience spiritual renewal, if you, if, if, if, if the reason why is you, if you're the reason why God can forgive you because you make these promises or because you've been good in the past or because you promise to be good in the future, because this is a wonderful prayer and that He should be impressed by it, if it's you, then you move on to the next thing.

But if you go into confession, if you go into repentance, and if, if you can find forgiveness and renewal because of Jesus, then your repentance and your confession time turns into joy.

That experience when you come to Him, the Word of God says He is with you, and the Holy Spirit is with every believer.

If you're a Christian, no matter how weak a Christian you may be this hour, the Holy Spirit is with you.

But the Word of God says, "But He shall be in you." When you're completely immersed in the Spirit, when you've given yourself to Him fully and completely, not just one room of your heart, but every room of your heart, and say, "None of self, but all of You, take me." When self becomes completely crucified, it's the most thrilling, it's the most glorious experience.

And you yield unto him body, soul, and spirit, for he fills that which you yield unto him.

It's not a matter of begging or teasing.

It's a matter of yielding.

And it's a part of your inheritance as a Christian.
