I'm just, I'm fascinated to know dealing with that amount of change.

It was quite a stressful time certainly around COVID because personally I was an older athlete by then because I got into the sport quite young and I was thinking this is probably my only opportunity to go to the Olympics and it's going to be cancelled because at first with COVID they were talk of cancelling it and it was very rare that they were talking about it going ahead so there was a lot of uncertainty but not only that we'd already been pre-selected the year before so we got pre-selected in 2019 COVID happened in 2020, but we weren't going to race until 2021.

So there was other athletes in British triathlon that were signing things to say, we need to be deselected, we need to reselect.

And I was just thinking, this is crazy.

You know, you finally get selected, you're so happy to go, and then all of a sudden it can be taken away from you.
