Why did you even build a business around podcasting to begin with?
1:55
Oh, I have such a really cool story on this and I'll keep it short.
1:59
There is a woman online.
2:00
Her name is Ronnie Brown.
2:01
If you guys don't know who she is, founder of Girl CEO.
2:04
And eight years ago, I started my podcast because my son's father at the time, who I'm no longer with, was like, You have to start a podcast.
2:11
Like everyone comes over here asking you for advice.

How did someone become great at storytelling or put together a great story?
6:55
when you go when
6:56
I'm when I go and when I'm full because it allows me to come back and be very present with him and all he wants the best thing for him right now is um are moments.
7:07
It's moments.
7:07
It's when I can come back and I'm full and we have a moment and I can make him laugh where it's a distraction or an experience from what he's sitting in all day, which is the question of his own mortality.
7:18
And then I think the only person that's shaming Me is me.
7:24
So I just think about how many people pre-grieving or post-grief, like Dr. Zoe Shaw talked about, that the passing of her father and then her family came to the door and she opened the door and she forgot.
7:38
And she was like, oh, you're here.
7:40
happy that you're here.
0:53
When you're sitting at an intersection and somebody says, are you grieving or are you joyful? You can say, oh, no, no, I'm both.
1:03
my fluency has come from.
1:06
It's not staying in those things.
1:08
It's not being afraid to revisit them and sit with them and journal about them and honor them and tell stories about them and not from a place of pain, but a place of experience, understanding, and I would call it wealth.
1:44
I have learned so much from having you in my ethos and getting an opportunity to work with you and watching you guest and write and you are such a wealth of knowledge and I could go so many places.
1:57
But one of the really interesting permission slips I got from being around you was the intersection of grief and joy, that two things can ride, driver's seat and passenger, and they can swap who's driving at the same time.
2:15
And it brought me back to an experience I had seven years ago, eight years ago, and now one that I'm having now.
