What was it like being there, and just how big a deal has it been?

Yeah, for sure.

So it's definitely a big deal.

People have, you know, thought about this for close to 30 years.

Tons of people have shown up.

You know, some very dedicated fans from all over the country have taken a bus or flown just to, you know, be part of this trial.

Tupac's, uh, family has been present during the entire trial as well.

Yeah, and Suge Knight, of course, was the boss of Death Row Records, which signed Tupac among many other very famous, uh, rap artists at the time.

Duane Davis and three other people, they had gone to a club where Tupac was going to perform and waited around for Tupac and Marion "Suge" Knight.

Uh, they did not come, and so then they left and went to a liquor store.

And then on their way after leaving the liquor store, they had run into Tupac Shakur and Marion "Suge" Knight in their BMW.

And they were at, like, a red light near the Las Vegas Strip, and a white Cadillac pulled up to the side, and shots were fired from this white Cadillac at Suge Knight and obviously Tupac Shakur.

Suge Knight survived his injuries, and, uh, Tupac Shakur died six days later.

I wanna start with your journey into motherhood and what really led you to start The Parent Collective based on how you were feeling as you became a parent and looking for that community.

Sure.

I lived in England for 10 years with my husband.

We moved...

We found out the day of our rehearsal dinner of our wedding that we were being transferred overseas, and what was meant to be a couple year rotation turned into 10 years.

And so we had our kids over there, and I had my work colleagues and some expat friends, but they were s- sort of scattered all across the city.

And I thankfully had one friend who'd had a baby the year before I did, and she told me I needed to take this class.

What was that? What was that journey like? How was your experience of pregnancy and slash the trenches of childbirth?

Yeah.

I mean, I loved being pregnant, especially my first pregnancy.

I think the second pregnancy, by the end, I was over it because it was just chasing after...

I had my kids two years apart, so I was chasing after a two-year-old.

And as the pregnancy wore on, it became just sort of more exhausting.
