In fact, they said it would be law by the end of the day.

So basically, there's no way that these laws can get passed prior to the state election.

And I have a feeling that even though Jess Wilson, the Liberal leader, is a bit vague on her view on working from home, I think she said she will look at it.

If it doesn't pass before the election as a human right, specifically in the state of Victoria, i.e. right here, then I suspect it will die a natural death.

Now, businesses raised serious concerns about this policy.

One survey from an HR platform, Remote, found 43% of Victorian businesses would consider moving jobs overseas if those laws passed, while 36% would consider hiring interstate.

Full-time, part-time, and casual employees were expected to get the right to work from home two days a week on a pro-rata basis if reasonably able to do so.

The coalition had earlier said they would support the government amendments and had no plans to change the legislation, the premier accusing coalition leader Jess Wilson of being disingenuous and pretending to support the Australian First laws.
