It's funny because I got my hair highlighted on Saturday and I was talking to my hair girl, Jess, about it.

And she was saying – because I said something about like chopping my hair and she was like, oh, yeah.

So 25th anniversary of season two this year, which is so exciting.

And as you all know, we're having a Jess Mariano November because we're about to come up on the 25th anniversary of him.

Like, that is crazy.

He was kinda giving me some Luke Danes energy.

A lot of people compared his character to Jess Mariano, and I feel like he kinda gives that, like, broodiness a little bit in his character, which I really appreciate.

So that was a lot of fun, even just seeing him through a window.

But it's like, where this cast goes, people flock.

Yeah.

Did you, do you feel like she had the right temperament? 'Cause that's something that Jess talks about in season two, that he just, like, doesn't really see her personality fitting into-

... uh, that line of work.

We've, you know, we've all been there, but I do think that the, I do think that it was Amy's goal to kind of present Rory as this person who was, like you said, a child prodigy, someone who was uplifted in her town endlessly, u- uplifted by her family, her grandparents endlessly, only to kind of turn up nine years later and be one of those people who comes home f- like from, you know, who comes back to their hometown with having so much promise and almost not being able to fulfill that.

When she decides to make the pivot into writing her book at the suggestion from Jess Mariano, do you think that's a realistic pivot for her? Do you think she's someone who would fare better in the world of, of writing realistic fiction? Um [laughs] you know? Or-

Or she seems to be writing sort of a memoir situation.

And like tries to check her behavior.

Whereas both Dean and Jess, they really do just play into the narrative of Rory being a perfect goody angel.

To Dean's delight and Jess's dismay.

I 100% agree.

And I do wonder like what would have happened if these relationships with Dean and Jess would have started when she was in college as opposed to like the version of her that she was in high school.
