um it could be closed down a bit quicker possibly um but again it's one of those deflections it's always harder to defend against um because it could have gone straight down to people for an easy save um the second second blackpool goal um that was when evan i'm not evans when edwards was was subbed on could he have done better again possibly it looked like he lost his man a little bit he kind of had his back to um Who was the player that scored again? Jerry Yates.

Kind of just lost him a little bit.

yeah, I don't, I don't want to go too low and, you know, I think it's hopefully a, a one-off bad performance and we'll be back to, um, you know, like, like we've seen in the, in the other games on, um, on Saturday against Bromley.

Um, I'm sorry, we've got Jerry Yates just to go.

Um, again,

a forlorn, a forlorn figure.

And it was a goal that just settled, not the nerves, but settled the boringness really

well maybe also the unease I mean it was quite a quiet first half on the pitch and off the pitch as well and that's understandable because of the Mansfield game and everybody having a bit of trepidation about that but yeah the goal was a proper poachers finish you have to be in those positions in the right place but that wasn't the case you think about this time last season him and Yates either never in the right position or never even get in the service and hence they didn't score.

So that is really encouraging.

I mean, the fact that he's got half his tally from last season already is remarkable.

I don't think linesmen have given six offsides at Kenilworth Road for about two seasons, let alone in one night.

And that just shows you the defensive structure.

Or even when Jerry Yates was playing.

Well, you know, he might have blinked then.

I love it.

Now, a player that I know quite well, Jerry Yates, is back in League One as well.

That's a canny signing, that is, for League One.

I'd have quite happily taken him back at Sheffield Wednesday.

A mate of mine was refereeing a Luton under-21s game for some reason and walked up to Jerry Yates as a Wednesday fan and just sort of said, you know, are you coming back this season or what? And he said, anything to get out of here? So a bit of inside track knowledge there for you.
