You had Freddie Stone on guitars and occasional vocals, Cynthia Robinson on trumpet and occasional vocals, uh, Jerry Martini on sax, Larry Graham on bass and vocals, uh, and then, uh, Rose Stone on piano vocals, Greg Errico on drums, and then three backing singers that were collectively called Little Sister, which of course were Vet Stone, Mary McCreary, and Elva Mouton.

Uh, but yeah, this was a band that i- in its makeup was a collective of both men and women, black and white folks alike.

Really Sly, who had quite a background as a radio DJ and so really knew his stuff [laughs] when it came to music, he as the band leader, he recognized that he could really draw upon each of them.

Greg was born in San Francisco, 1948.

He joined forces with Sly Stone in 1966 with Larry Graham, Cynthia Robinson, Jerry Martini, Rosie Stone, and Freddie Stone to form Sly and the Family Stone.

Gregorico's drumming was a crucial part of the band's sound.

He combined rock, R&B, jazz, and, well, he put the unk into the funk.
