And then somebody told me about Jerry Lucas, a famous, famous basketball player with the Boston Celtics, I believe.

And they said he is starting a school for those who would like to memorize the entire New Testament.

I said, who in the world can memorize 27 books in the Bible? And 26 of us moved to a little apartment outside of San Francisco.

And from 8 o'clock in the morning to 12.30 every day, month after month after month, 26 of us begin to memorize two and a half chapters a day under Jerry Lucas.

Jerry told us one morning, he said, the day will come you will have so much of the Bible in you that when you hear falsehood, when you hear something wrong, evil, An anger will erupt in you like a volcano.

I was 35 years old.

I've read the Bible well through over 100 times.

I miss Jerry Lucas.

At one point in time, of course, he played, uh, way earlier before we were the Kings, with this organization.

Just how good was Jerry Lucas? Uh, and he, he was 6'8", 6'9".

He was, like, the beginning of the stretch power forward.
