And you do those things to slow down the pass rush, which should absolutely help Benson.

I think they're going to do a lot of things in that direction.

And I think he's a really intriguing, very late target.

Now, if he gets like a Jerick McKinnon role, they threw to him more than 30% targets per out run last year.

He only ran like a hundred routes, but to get 35 targets on a hundred routes, it's like they wanted the ball in his hands with intent.

And he looked explosive this preseason as well as got a huge athletic profile.

who do you like more to smith or clayborne and do you want to click them first and push jones or take jones first and then decide on a running back

Wasn't arguably the best pass protector on the team at running back.

And we've seen them keep guys like Jerick McKinnon in the past only for that role.

But the fact that they were able to move on from him surely means there have been some strides in his game in that role because they are not just going to trust anybody with that.

That's why they kept a lot of the guys that they have in the past.

he reminded me so after the landing spot he reminded me of jerick mckinnon where you just see a lot of like really impressive pass catching uh production um if i can pull it up right now yeah miss tackles force per reception is like one of the most sneaky predictive stats out there he was top five any running back since 2014 a couple other stats like that he smashed my big question was like yeah jerick mckinnon didn't have a lot of carries i don't think he's that great of a runner and then he kind of maybe proved me wrong you see ryan pagneti with the isaiah pacheco comp a couple weeks ago uh he he forced 11 missed tackles as a runner this preseason only only one player had more uh and that player had like way more carries than him so Yeah, I think that there's something interesting here.

It's a great offense that with now Eric, the enemy kind of wants to build, build the ship around the running game.

And you have one of the most injury prone running backs in football who's maybe already hurt.

I'll never forget a couple years ago, you convinced me of a Jerick McKinnon over.

It was on the Chiefs.

This is, I mean, this is a throwback.

They've, by an absolute mile, had the worst running backs in the NFL during the Patrick Mahomes era.

They lost Dream Hunt, um, for reasons halfway through Patrick Mahomes' season, and since then they've been rolling out Damien Williams, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Le'Veon Bell, Darrell Williams, Isaiah Pacheco, Jerick McKinnon, um, washed and reformed Kareem Hunt, and then Samaje Perine.

Like all of those individuals have been getting meaningful snaps.
