How did we land on Silver Bumper? Where did that name come from?

um well silver bumper was originally just going to be like an alias to me like silver bumper just sounds like an old speed garage alias from like the 90s in like london and that was like the whole point that was the spirit of it right yeah yeah it was just a character like i don't know if you go on if you go on discos and you look at the old like jeremy sylvester aliases or like mike milrain like they're all like quite cheeky like right that rude boy kind of uh I don't know like the word to describe it but there's like a lot of spellings like they've changed and like I was kind of referencing like that.

I guess maybe it comes from like old hip-hop records as well.

I don't know like where it fully comes from but I know it from like the old jungle and garage scene in the UK.

But like back in the day, he like really kind of pioneered a lot of like this kind of jacking house, speed garage thing in Birmingham.

Like he was a part of so many scenes, but he's like to me like an absolute like legend.

for sure like he's like played a massive part in like that kind of very old like raw rolling speed garage sound uh like his alias is like sly like they're just like proper proper speed garage like that the kind of like proper speed garage you like would i would probably think of and then this guy called neil romney he's like just a legendary producer he's produced loads of like classics like um dbx trotters independent traders like That's actually a reference to an old TV show.

That's a rich reason.
