The weaker rider there out of the three is obviously Chiodi because he's over 50, whereas Christoph's not that old and Philippard still rips around him.

Chiodi's still great, but he's probably the slower rider of that group because it is so strong.

And I went back and I did the math and the last time that Team USA had its three riders it would have picked no matter what, which is the two best Americans in the 450 motocross class and the best American in the 250 class, those three, was 2014 when you had Ryan Dungey and Eli Tomac on 450s and Jeremy Martin on 250s.

That is a bad sign.

Oh, did he? Him and Renard in the Plus 25 had a battle.

Like, we wanna pour as much into this as possible to prove that we are an up-and-coming massive superstar level kind of team.

Because at the time when they started really supporting it, yeah, Jeremy Martin was starting to win titles, Cooper Webb was right there behind him, but they hadn't developed this established proving winning recipe in the US, and now they have.

And I think it's kind of changed their mental approach to it a little bit of like, "Well, we wanna protect our assets, our winning riders," instead of, "Go over there, maybe they get hurt, maybe we burn a bunch of money, and nothing ends up happening." So there's a lot of different little reasons why, but overarching, I think that's why Star most specifically is where they are at the moment.
