I thought he would be at best slightly above average, but he was great the entire game.

And there's no way Hecklinski could have been any better.

So I think that the narrative that I've mentioned that Hank Brown might be the safer choice, but Hecklinski's got the higher ceiling.

I think that's out the window after this game.

Yeah, it is.

But...

Hecklinski, again, we talked about it on Monday, didn't do himself any favors.

And I think if Hank gets settled in early, he will hit some of those deep throws, and he won't put the ball in harm's way like Heck did because, whew, really put the ball in harm's way, especially after rewatching three turnover-worthy throws in that first half.

That's why he got pulled, right? So I would imagine that they – that Hank is the guy the rest of the year at this point.

And the other thing that I want to touch on because we've already got folks in the chat talking about trading Bessinger, talking about Jimmy Sullivan.

I mean, if there's a 5% chance that Hecklinski sees the field, there's a 1.5% chance that Jimmy Sullivan sees the field.

And then a 0.1% for Bessinger.

I honestly don't.

I think they're going to play Hank Brown, and I don't think Hecklinski sees another snap at Iowa.

I'm going to leave it right at that.

But Evan James definitely has that fearless – trait to him right like there are good things about the way he returns the ball he's quick right and that's good But right now I was having to take the good with the bad because the bad has been there.

It's like he's the hecklinski of punt returners.

You get the good, you get the good, but you can't get rid of the bad.

I really like Evan James back there.

That's a hell of a schedule.

Let me ask you this, because I still feel like we have an unsolved quarterback.

Because this is a really interesting time frame, and I also don't want to right off hank or hecklinski but at some point they're gonna have to they're gonna have to make a decision like mid-november elliot if they're gonna go in the portal or not because with all the planning and everything else that really happens that's just the college football calendar so i'm not trying to incite anything by saying this or talking about it but these are very real topics To me, neither guy has proven that they should be penciled in as a starter for next year.

To be honest, I'd open the door for Bessinger and Sullivan to be able to compete for it.

at Hecklinski.

Yeah, Hecklinski is really no better.

I think he's marginally better, but I think they both stink.

Seven games into this season I'm not sure the stats bear that out and part of it is he hasn't had nearly the amount of of time that Hank Brown has and Hecklinski had a great game against Washington, but Brown is the only one who scored a touchdown tonight he let he He made the throw.

He had a couple

more drives than Heklinski.

I don't know.

Who do you like more? Drake Lindsey or Hecklinski?
