Jeremy initially answered no, saying that the spell simply creates a dome.

But then he actually changed his answer once he went back and looked at the rule, finding that the description in the book describes the effect as hemispherical, which he interpreted then to mean that it does indeed have a floor.

And the problem is, is that, you know, they'll work on one thing and they'll hire a new authors or their work on like one module and hire a new author.

So it's hard to be like, Oh, the definitive writers of D and D, which is like objectively Chris Perkins and Jeremy Crawford, but they're, they're also designers as well.
