And so for this, we took this opportunity to, I, I produced, funded her getting a string section to complete that.

And it, like, I, I think it's beautiful, and also it was supposed to be about chapter eight, which is the very, um, sad chapter about, uh, the deaths, the suicides of Jeremy Blake and Teresa Duncan.

Although she had not written the song about that, she couldn't help but find that as she was revisiting this song, it felt like it really resonated for her and her reading of Teresa Duncan's story in the book.

So without further ado, this is Is It Right by Talia Billig.

Yeah, that's interesting.

Getting back a little bit to the characters, too, one interesting thing that you do with one set of characters is Teresa Duncan and Jeremy Blake, who people confide in the book, but they were creatively involved with Beck.

Jeremy did the Sea Change cover, and Teresa had a movie she was working on that Beck would have been the star of.

And so you start the book with them, and then you have some things, I think they're called interludes, right? Interludes,

Teresa – it's not that I went by Tracy, but Teresa Duncan and Jerry Blake, where they were at, and especially Teresa in a given point in time, that was a purely structural choice because I just wanted – I knew that Teresa and Jeremy didn't become the central focus of anything until the very last chapter.

And I just – Their story is so heartbreaking and fascinating and deserved a new take on it after all these years.

So when I was approaching that, I feel like, do I need to do a step back here? I feel like I should say Teresa Duncan and Jeremy Blake were these two artists who committed suicide in 2007.

It was very tragic.
