And like, for example, one of the segments of Disney World Builders, it's basically like the tale of...

Jennifer Lee and Kevin Feige and Jon Favreau and Bob Iger and Josh DeMauro, basically walking through Disney parks, some parks that are currently being built, some that were just opened, other stuff, and basically learning what it's like to bring your stories into the real world, which is really interesting because Disneyland Handcrafted was cool, But that was focused on, you know, 1955 opening Disneyland.

And you can't really go back to that time.

But Leslie kind of wanted to go in and talk to all these people.

And we basically got to see Jennifer Lee's first time being in World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris.

And she got to meet the Olaf audio animatronic.

Her sister, Leslie didn't even know any of this, but her sister ended up joining her who she said is her Elsa and was like, a huge inspiration for the story and just seeing the emotion and seeing everything happen was so special.

Like, it, this should've been taken to Boston first, just so you know.

But, uh, then, uh, I'd say, "But the opportunity for me was getting to do the read-through for Wreck-It Ralph." That's where I met John Lasseter, and he introduced me, of course, to the directors, uh, Rich Moore, and Jennifer Lee was there, who was about to do a musical after this about an ice queen or something that she was doing with Ken Buck.

And that was that, and, and I was just gonna go down all the people I worked with 'cause they're all incredible people.

Like, if you just worked with one group of these people, you'd be like, "Oh my God, I just worked with the top of the top." I've worked with them all.

I got to see Nancy Meyers come in.

I got to see Jennifer Lee, who was... directing the Kung Fu Panda films I got to see Gore Verbinski who was doing sorry not Gore Verbinski at the time it was um I wasn't gonna fact check you but no but it was Gore is the director of the first three pirate movies and the fourth one was directed by Rob Marshall so Rob Marshall was coming in okay and talking to Hans and my job was to make Hans Zimmer his coffee yeah uh which you were literally like the head intern then yeah I delivered coffee into his office it's like pirate skulls and like This looks like you're in Pirates of the Caribbean, 100% serious.

Was he cool? He's the coolest guy in the world.

Nice, nice.

Then next Wednesday, I talk with LeUyen Pham, artist on the new graphic novel, As I Dream of You, which was written by Jennifer Lee, writer and director of Frozen and other films.

As I Dream of You is a book that intentionally misleads you in several ways, and the result is really moving.

At first glance, I thought it was going to be a clone of Craig Thompson's Blankets, but it turns out to be something quite different from that, although it does feature a teenage couple.

LeUyen has worked more in children's book illustration than comics, and she talks about the difference between the two, working with Jennifer Lee, and we compare our notes on this amazing book.

And this basically means she didn't script or plan a lot of these things.

Now, if you've seen the documentary, something that will stick in my heart for a very long time was the Jennifer Lee segment, because basically it's segmented into different segments.

You got Kevin Feige, you have Bob Iger, you have Josh DeMauro, you have Jared Bush, you have a lot of these really high profile people walking you through the parks.

But this isn't like a scripted thing.

She even said these aren't actors these are filmmakers this isn't necessarily their world so she wanted to really take them to these places where their stories are being brought to life and it makes for a really authentic experience and we get to see we actually get to see Jennifer Lee's first experience walking into the world of Frozen at Disneyland Paris not only experiencing meeting the olaf audio animatronic which just oh my god emotions tears flying everywhere but her sister who is actually her elsa as she called it inspired a lot of these things and the way they grew up and everything was able to join her and leslie didn't even know a lot of this stuff was happening so she was just kind of like we need to slow people down we need to get cameras here we need to capture this moment because it's really amazing and it is translated so incredibly in the documentary and there's other incredible moments like that in the film Like Pete Docter on Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure.

There's like that little Luxo ball water fountain feature and he goes there and starts playing with this kid that's playing there and like can you imagine how awesome that would be for that kid but also for Pete.

There's just really cool experiences because you know Disneyland Handcrafted was amazing but a lot of it was seen from the perspective of people who either are no longer here or are you know a lot older and there's not as many people where you can like walk into the construction site.

I thought maybe 3 was going to be the end, but I guess not.

No, yeah, I think Jen Lee decided to step back from her leadership role at Disney Animation in order to make sure she could concentrate on making these two films in the way that she really, really wanted to.

Dang.

So Frozen 3 looks like it's set to release November 2027.

Christopher Nolan has two in the worldwide top 50.

The Dark Knight Rises and and The Odyssey, and he joins a lot of other filmmakers, J.J. Abrams, who's also on the domestic list with his two Star Wars films, John Watts with Spider- Far From Home and Spider- No Way Home, Joss Whedon with his two Avengers movies, James Wan with Furious 7 and Aquaman, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who have Frozen and Frozen 2, and Michael Bay.

Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction are both among the 50 highest grossing films of all time worldwide, so some crossover with the domestic list here, and also some names that are unique to this list.

And looking at the grosses for the Insidious franchise this week, I wanted to point this out because a lot of people might say, oh, they're making a sixth Insidious film.

Uh, and it features- ... interviews and segments with different people that run different segments of Disney.

So there's Bob Iger, they talk to J- James Cameron, Jon Favreau, Kevin Feige, Jennifer Lee, Pete Docter, Dave Filoni, Jared Bush, and Josh D'Amaro.

Um, so it's basically about how the worlds that they've built in their universes have made it back into the parks and are, the TV shows and movies are now influencing the parks and vice versa.

So it's, it's interesting.
