Jemar Tisby

And Tim will be a part of it.

We, like 10 days ago, we were at Theology Beer Camp and we did a live Tim and April show there with a panel that included the brilliant Dr. Jemar Tisby and the equally brilliant Dr. Timmy Spencer Helms to talk about the whites in white Christian nationalism.

What does whiteness mean? How does that pertain to larger Christianity and larger politics? And honestly, I learned so much.

I could just listen to both of them talk for hours and hours.

And so while, of course, we could do a typical Tim and April show and have a little bit of fun, we do that every Thursday.

So we wanted to have a really... conversation was kind of the focus for us.

And as me and April were talking, we thought, you know, it'd be really nice to get Dr. Timmy Spencer Helms and Dr. Jemar Tisby in conversation with each other because one focuses on theology, one's a historian, and that could be just really fantastic.

So that's what we're gonna do today.

Why am I the guy talking about this? My name is Dr.

Jemar Tisby.

I'm a historian, author, producer.

I am also the founder and CEO of Tisby Media.

But as a Christian, sitting there right then, I was struck with the reminder that these folks are made in the image of God, same as me, and deserving of my respect because Jesus died for them too.

Jemar Tisby reminds us well.

He says, the image of God extends comprehensively across all humanity.

It encompasses black and white people, men and women, rich and poor, incarcerated and free, and all others, each bearing equal, incalculable, and enviable value.
