Jefferson Díaz

And in this case, Michael Boxall had made a play up the field, and as he was coming back, he didn't actually fully recover into the back line of the three center backs.

Jefferson Diaz wasn't really there to cover, and Jordan Morris made us pay.

And then, of course...

Hassani Dotson, former loon, gets his second goal of the season against Minnesota United.

At sort of the other positions with Triantis missing, you'll probably see just Owen Jen and Will Trapp in the center of midfield again.

And with Harvey missing, it's more... it's more a removal of options rather than you have to put a guy in because you can obviously just plug in Jefferson Diaz at that right center back role or wherever you might be looking at plugging Harvey in.

So it's more just a lack of options and a lack of excitement because Carlos Harvey, if he does nothing else, brings the excitement.

All right, you got your answers? Are you ready with the quiz game? I'm going to read them again quick.

Nicholas Romero does have to step up, play at the left center back position.

Carlos Harvey on his right instead of Diaz, but it's a whole new back line to try to get a result at home.

And no Marco Royce or Zhao Klaus in the starting lineup for LA Galaxy.

More on that later.

And then

with Duggan, our tallest defender, who had played a great game up to that point, coming off.

And Jefferson Diaz, who's an undersized center back, coming in.

we're just undersized and it just doesn't feel like we're going to get to the finish line with this game and unfortunately that comes true la earns a free kick which i think we can argue wasn't a free kick kiki lozano basically steps yeah i didn't know that

He was asked about the suspension for Duncan because he would have missed the game this weekend if the red card hadn't been rescinded.

And his basic answer was, you know, it was not what we thought – Whatever we thought about it, we were also lucky that Jefferson Diaz didn't get another yellow and get suspended for that.

So it does look like the Loons will be able to cobble together some kind of back line this week, which may or may not be good given how their defense has been lately.

So that's sort of positive news for Minnesota.

He's alive.

He's running around, so fingers crossed he can get back in there as well.

Jefferson Diaz was sick earlier in the week.

He is back.

And in the 62nd minute, Dallas scores first.

This is really like the three center backs like Jefferson Diaz is crashing into the space of Morris Duggan.

Michael box all where he doesn't have to be there leaving Kaikei all alone at the penalty spot, right? So it's 13 goals conceded first in 14 games and we're we're down We do get some subs There's there's this moment in the 64th minute one of the better goal line clearances I think I've seen in a Minnesota from a Minnesota perspective Morris dug in and keeping this ball out of the net, keeping it a one-goal game.

It was amazing.

I'm just noticing a little bit of fading here.

He's played a ton of minutes as well.

Jefferson Diaz also.

And yeah,

Guys who might contribute, maybe not guys who are going to be nailed on starters right away.

There were a couple years ago when the loons brought in Joaquin Pereira and Jefferson Diaz and somebody else.

I'm drawing a blank on who the third guy is right now, but three guys who started right away.

I think Kelvin Yoboa, I guess.
