What led you to set the charity up? Was it a personal experience that you're happy to share?

Yeah, absolutely.

So Best Mates is a welfare charity that sort of helps anybody that's struggling through life's challenges, if you like.

It was born off of the back of a personal story for myself.

Back in 2020, my son was attacked by six lads in Swindon.

that left him with depression and PTSD and then on one Saturday morning me and his mum were going through one of his art books and he'd made some notes in there about a day that he wanted to take his own life so Luckily, we're all good.

We found out we could do something about it.
