Jeff St. John

So that's a big thing.

So we've got a story from Jeff St. John in Canary Media, "Newsom finally says yes to virtual power plants".

Yes.

"California's outgoing governor approved bills to contain utility spending and allow customers to get paid to let batteries, EVs, and appliances ease grid stress." Um, yeah, I mean, this is a good thing for grid operators and consumers.

Canadian politicians need to get serious about how espionage is really done as Ottawa contemplates creating a foreign spy service.

According to a new study from former intelligence officials Alan Barnes and Jeff St. John, the duo complains in the report that romantic, facile notions of spying predominate with virtually no Canadian aware of the realities of the work of a spy.

They add 99% of all espionage fiction is pure junk, only a few fictional works have any merit.

Professionals even found fault with some of the characterizations of espionage.
