Jeff Sentell

I think it's just a good reminder of, you know, whatever the real story here is, is that, A, Georgia did a great job in this recruitment, and Helton is a guy you're very happy to have on Saturday night.

Let's hear Zakai Helton from Jeff Sentell, then we'll talk to Jeff Sentell about this.

He was the comi- first commit of the 20- 2026 class at Alabama, and during the transition, I don't know if I totally believe this, somebody probably should know who the commitments were, 'cause you can easily Google them or whatever.

[laughs]

All right, we're later than we've been in a while, so let's pick up the pace here.

Uh, Georgia got a commitment yesterday.

We'll talk to Jeff Sentell about that, making moves with other recruits as well, and a little bit more on the situation with Zakai Hilton.

Let's find out about that with Jeff Sentell here today on Dawg Nation Daily, presented by Kroger.

We've got that all coming up for you in just a moment.

Prior to that, though, let me set the stage for a conversation we're going to have with Jeff Sentell, because we have gotten some very interesting stuff from Georgia five-star running back commit Kimon Spell this week.

And we talked about this little bit earlier in the week.

I guess it starts with Tom Lloyd, 247Sports.

Literally calling out reporting that he feels like is incorrect.

And if you're watching on video, I'll show this to you.

You know, our Jeff Sentell I thought captured some really interesting video of him going back to, uh, what, Saturday's game against Oklahoma.

Jeff writing, "We can never say never in recruiting, not these days," but in response to the video he posts, "Does this look like a five-star on Flipwatch to you?" So you got Spell there wearing the Georgia pullover, all smiles, having a good time, surrounded by, uh, you know, other, you know, recruits and recruit families in that section for the game against Oklahoma.

I think he's even coming-- Like he's, he's-- Even though he lives up in Pennsylvania, he comes to Georgia quite a bit.

And anytime, including our Jeff Sentell, anyone stuck a microphone in Spell's face, you couldn't write a better script for someone to say about how he views Georgia and how he thinks of his role in that class.

And of course, a player of this caliber, this magnitude, of course, there are gonna be guys trying to get the commitment away from him, uh, and, and, and wrestle him away from his Georgia commitment.

But to, to this point, Spell has not entertained any of this.

I even get the creeping cynicism of, oh my gosh, BA, at this day and age, just wake me up when he's on campus.

I do get where fans come from on that.

And the fact that you could say or report, you know, Jeff Sentell could write a story of so and so is as locked in as anyone could be.

And the fan reads that and happy to hear it, but doesn't give it its full belief.
