Give us some of the maybe, you know, the ins and the outs of maybe where you've been able to help him.

I know when Jeff Scott went down to South Florida, you know, he notably talked about Dabo Sweeney and the way he was able to lean in on Coach Sweeney for some things here and there.

Is there anything in particular where you felt like, hey, you know what? I'm glad I was able to help Willie out in that moment.

Well, the biggest things that I've discussed with him are really only things that a head coach would have kind of an experience with.

But I didn't find out really that he was hurt until Dabo did the halftime interview coming off the field, which I guess is when everybody found out.

One of the other really neat things about this past weekend's broadcast, I thought, was what you and I mentioned going into it, having Jeff Scott in there.

Man, his insight, Tim, into what's happened.

I can't think of all the terminology that he was using throughout the broadcast, but anytime you guys would go to him, it felt like I was listening to a guy who not only knew the playbook, but knew everything that was supposed to be happening about alignments and all of those things.

And it's one of the reasons that I have really, now we only have a one game sample.

We have a single game sample of Jeff Scott being a part of the Clemson broadcast team alongside Don Munson, alongside Timberay, but getting to listen to Jeff Scott, And the things that he is relaying about what is happening for Clemson is pretty incredible, quite frankly.

I mean, to take that in, a guy that is knowledgeable not only about the Clemson program and the way Davos Winnie runs it, but also about the scheme that Chad Morris has built.

And then remember that scheme was transitioned to Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott, his co-offensive coordinators, and they put their own wrinkles on it, right? It's kind of like, it's kind of like a great recipe gets passed down.

And then maybe you go, man, this is grandma's recipe, but if I put a little dash of this, a little sprinkle of that, and then it gets passed down again.

And so now we've kind of got this full circle moment where you, where you're kind of back to Chad Morris, but a new era of Chad Morris.

This weekend, Jeff Scott will be up there with you guys.

We kind of mentioned that last weekend, but we knew he wasn't going to that LSU game.

What are a couple of things you're looking forward to maybe ascertaining from him, so to speak, in the booth as you guys are working together along with Don Munson?

And I think everybody, when they saw Chad Morris was back... had this demeanor of oh no what is this could look like is he gonna run the same stuff even though the game has certainly evolved since he was around with Taj Boyd and then even the Allen stuff on the defensive side of the ball you gotta have some questions after that opening showing that it could be the exact same caliber of defense that we saw last year right

yeah coordinator is a huge huge thing for clemson uh they really well they didn't get exactly lucky because they paid the guys well but i mean how many head coaching jobs did brent venables tony elliott and jeff scott turned down before they eventually left for those jobs right uh They had an almost unheard of run of, hey, we have like really awesome coordinators and they're sticking around.

And now they're kind of going through the churn that I think a lot of programs go through.

I mean, there's a lot of good teams out there that go through a coordinator every one or two years.

It was the portal.

It was maybe the perfect balance of the staff that he had at the time, and then got to, you know, Tony Elliott leaves, Venable leaves, Jeff Scott leaves.

It just, um, I think it just started to erode, and then you get stubborn, and coaches are the most stubborn human beings on the f- on the place of the earth, especially football coaches, because they have 120 dudes to manage and in college and everything else.

And I think that catches up to you, you know.
