Who comes up with that? How does that kind of come

about? So we had a list of...

we had this sort of big list that we made of all the events through American history.

There's some big ones that you know you're going to do, like, okay, we're going to do the Lincoln assassination.

And then you're like, well, Larry's probably the guy who really told him to go see that play.

So you're like, okay, that's easy.

And then there are things like the Wright Brothers and American Innovation, and we were looking at, we're like, how do we talk about how bad airline flying is now, but with the very first flight? So we just thought that was really funny that airlines...

But do you get that vibe at all?

[laughs]

I, I don't know.

But, um, [laughs] it was a super fun commercial to do.

He loved it, and I think honestly he remembered how much fun he had being in costume, and he forgot how much he hated being in wigs.

And he's like, "This'll be great." So we just started talking about it, and he's like, we started to talk about events and things, and we had some funny ideas.

He's like, "Yeah, let's do this." But I will say, for me, the most amazing part of this was getting to see Larry and President Obama together.

The first meeting we had, I, I'm walking in, I've never met the President before, and he just says, "Do you play golf?" And I go, "Uh, not really." And then he, he points to Larry and he goes, "This guy's better than you'd think he'd be, but he wears so much sunscreen." And I go, "Oh yeah, it's like playing with a mime, right?" And so Obama's just crapping all over Larry, and Larry just goes, "Oh, I'm sorry my dad's not from Kenya." And [laughs] and this is minute one.

The myriad cameos on display in this show, which I, I assume are gonna get even more impressive as it goes on, how much of that is outreach on your end and how much of that is HBO announces Larry David Obama sketch project and then, like, incoming calls? 'Cause I would imagine there's a lot of those as well.
