Service Corps crews make a tangible difference in national parks today while building the skills and connection that can shape how they care for these places in the future, National Park Foundation President and CEO Jeff Reinbold said.

Whether they're clearing trails, restoring habitats, or preserving historic structures, young people see firsthand what stewardship looks like and the role they can play in carrying parks forward.

This is the eighth year the National Park Foundation has invested in Service Corps proof of of the positive impact these projects have on participants, parks, and the experience of visitors.

There are spectacular sites all over the country, but some of them are suffering from a lack of funding for maintenance.

So says Jeff Reinbold.

Last fall, Congress let the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund expire.

This doesn't have to be an either or.

this is an opportunity to be able to make a federal investment in the legacy of these parks and what supports the visits to them.

He, it seems like he's kind of lost the room in a sense.

He's for sure lost the defense because they're, and you throw Jeff Reinbold and Reinbold's a, a heck of a coach.

I know.

And I know he's done defensive coordinating before, but he's the special teams guy.

Having got rid of the great Jeff Reinbold as defensive coordinator, can Hawaii even be considered now?

I don't know whose decision it is anymore over there.

Is it Dinwiddie's decision? Is it Jeff Reinbold's decision? Is it Sean Burke's decision? I don't know.

But you just look at how Ottawa is going about it right now.

Are they just auditioning guys to see what they have at 0-9 moving forward? And if that's the case, that's fine because you're not going to win.

You know, there's only one way to go here for Ottawa.

Whenever a coordinator takes over, sometimes it takes a few weeks for things to really take shape the way they want it.

And unless I've missed anything, the understanding I've had is that when Jeff Reinbold took over, what Dinwiddie really wanted him to do was just focus on the basics and do what you know how to do, just do it better and stop trying to be so elaborate.

And I think that may have led to some of the friction between the guy who was there before running the defense fields.

He's 210, 215 pounds.

So if that is the change in defense, and this change did coincide with the move from William Fields at defensive coordinator to Jeff Reinbold at defensive coordinator, evidently it's, it's a style switch.

And when I asked Dinwiddie if maybe in hindsight his team wishes that they had allocated their free agency dollars differently, he said, "Well, you know, it's hard to say," but he did admit that maybe instead of being as active as they were, they should have relied more on the players they had in-house and trusted their scouting staff more, which I took to maybe mean, okay, instead of going out and spending all this money to make A.J. Allen the highest-paid linebacker in the Canadian Football League, maybe we should have said, "You know what? We like the, the scheme fit of Lucas Cormier.

We like the fact that he's still developing.

And it should be noted, Dunc, he did play a lot more in that Winnipeg game the day after him and I spoke, and he had two sacks.

So evidently, he's still a good player, right? And he, he's certainly bringing it.

Speaking of the sack that Cormier had, by the way, the blindside hit that Zach Collars took, brilliantly dialed up by Jeff Reinbold, I had to use the little boys room at halftime of that game while the Red Blacks coaching staff was walking down the hall to the elevator to get down to the visitors locker room.

And I s- I saw Jeff Reinbold, said, "Coach, you guys got him on that blitz." And he did not turn his head to me, and he loudly grunted, but it wasn't an English word.

Yeah, the stats don't really tell the story of the game, but you kind of alluded to it earlier, just this defense has done a nice job getting a little bit of pressure, and that's something I know you said Jeff Reinbold is going to make some adjustments with so far in these two games.
