Jeff Hunt

The other story that's coming out of Ottawa is that somebody from their past is interested in returning to the fold.

And that's Jeff Hunt.

Now, Jeff Hunt was the former president of the Ottawa Red Blacks, and he would be interested in returning.

He hasn't been with the team for eight years.

And is he necessarily a guy that you want to ignore in terms of maybe having an interview with going forward?

People do come around and over time they come back and have another look at it.

Rick Lollisher is another example with Edmonton football that came back to try to help stabilize that organization.

Jeff Hunt might be that guy for Ottawa.

I don't know if there's ever been a member of the Navajo Nation to sign a CFL contract, But Pete would be very welcome up north.

Jeff Hunt told Three Down Nation contributor Santino Filoso he'd be willing to return as president of the Ottawa Red Blacks.

Though he's doubtful he'll get the chance.

Would Ottawa be smart to rehire him?

He says, "Hey, Rod.

The, the poll question is, are the Ottawa Red Blacks the worst team in CFL history?" He says, "No, the 1980 one-win Argonauts were the worst for me." And former Red Blacks boss Jeff Hunt says he'd go back to Ottawa for 1 million if they win the Grey Cup in three years.

Oh, well, Jeff, [laughs]

Don't get me wrong.

Jeff Hunt, good buddy of mine, uh, from the junior hockey days, was one of the founders of the Ottawa Red Blacks, actually, and he walked for his own reasons.

That is his story to tell, not mine.

I know the story.
