Batting sixth and playing third base, Dave Nelson.

He is backed up defensively by Frank Howard at first, Tom Ragland at second, Toby Harrah at short, Dave Nelson at third.

Jeff Burroughs is in left field, Elliott Maddox in center, and Del Unser is in right.

Rich Billings is doing the catching.

Looked for all the world as though he may try to take off.

one on one to count on Burroughs matter of fact he may even have upset Burroughs a little bit with it there he goes here's a pitch high here's foots throw way off target needs a second gets up and goes to third that's a throw from Foote was way to the first base side and high and Sizemore couldn't handle it at

all

so he gets his sixth stolen base of the year out of seven attempts And an error on the throw is the Cubs' 18th error of the season.

There's a pitch and he takes a strike.

Belt high inside corner.

Ball two strike due on Burroughs.

Deep and left center field is Jerry Martin.

Robinson hit his 30th home run last night.

He is tied with Jeff Burroughs for the runner-up spot to Reggie Jackson of the Oakland A's.

Olecky will not pitch a no-hitter against the Braves today.

And it'll bring up Jeff Burroughs batting three fourteen.

Bill Madlock has protected himself into the National League batting race lead.

He has taken over that lead.

Madlock looking for his third batting championship in his major league career, which has not spanned that many years.

He's at three sixteen, Dave Parker at three fifteen, and Jeff Burroughs batting now three fourteen.

So Madlock rooting for Burroughs to make out here.

There's a throw to first base.
