Jed Bradley

And, like, their early stabs at it were bad.

It told them to take Taylor Youngman and Jed Bradley instead of, like, Sonny Gray and Jose Fernandez.

Like, their early – like, they took Eric Arnett in 2009, you know, like – their early stabs at like trying to do things in a smart way from that perspective like failed um but they kept at it and that was the important part is they didn't like say no no no we're this is stupid like and throw it out they just kept going and eventually what they landed on was the the high fastball spin rate thing which is how they got brandon woodruff it's how they got uh Corbin Burns like that was and that was sort of an initial breakthrough that they had in this and that comes from Mark Antanasio saying we need to figure this out and figure out how this is going to work like how are we going to make this work for us long term like the commonality here the thing that ties all of this together this ascendancy is Mark Antanasio nobody else has been around nearly that long And it's been a long process, obviously.

It took a long time.
