So I think this is much closer than drama is, you know? Abbott Elementary has really yet to break through in this category fully.

We, of course, have three familiar faces who have been dominating in terms of nominations in this category the last few years.

You know, I don't really have any thoughts.

I guess I'll just give my prediction since you, if we're going to swap out and I'll just say I have Jean Smart winning this because just, you know, everything I've said about Hacks earlier being such a phenomenon, being the final season and everybody seems to love Jean Smart.

I feel like she's probably the obvious choice here.

So what do you, what about you?

Oh yeah, I'm going to say Jean Smart will win, could win, and should win for this.

As much as I don't love when one actor wins over and over and over again, and the love doesn't get shared, because there are some other great performances in this category, Jean Smart is so good as Debra Vance, and she's so good in the final season, and she will only be the second woman, like the first since... julia louis dreyfus did it for veep to win five emmys in a row for the same character so

So there's going to be a couple of awards I want everybody to keep an eye out for.

Jean Smart could make history here.

She's predicted to win her fifth straight lead comedy actress Emmy for Hacks, which if you haven't seen that show, it's fantastic, very funny.

And also Noah Wiley could make history here.

I don't have a problem with it, but I don't think it's just worthy of this.

I'm okay with the idea of Jean Smart winning for her role in the program.

I think it could either be Jean Smart or Elle Fanning.

I think it could be Jean because she was once again so brilliant, really pulled on our heartstrings.

It's also the final season of Hacks, which we were also bummed about, so she may be sent off with one last award for an epic performance.
