The first part of that game, where you follow Gene's scent, is the most basic of the whole game.

Maybe I should be placed on some sort of watch list for saying so, but I really couldn't get enough of them, reveling in each squelchy spine-severing, chest-carving cleave.

Throw in some slick camera work and fight choreography when teaming up with the likes of Gene or Sabretooth for tandem kills, and you've got an impressive combat flow from an aesthetic perspective.

There's no denying that wielding those claws is slick, punchy, and wonderfully bloody.

It's just a shame, then, that halfway through Wolverine's 15-hour string of missions, I felt like I'd had my fill.

I don't think I'd ever dare copy anyone because that'd just be like a pale imitation of someone else that you love, but try to take bits of the lessons that they teach you about who they are and try to fit them into here somewhere and bring them out through my experience.

Did you have that experience, Kritzy? Did you feel that same way when you were getting into who Gene was?

Yeah, I mean, for me, it feels like Insomnia gives such a great freedom to the fact that we could step into it as ourselves.

So, I mean, of course, there was pressure as you find out that you're I mean, I know you knew like, oh, wait, there's a daggers that come out of his hand.

at that no no i was it's great because i was like going towards that and liam helped me in that direction because i Really wanted to know from you, Chrystia, like what do you find common in all the renditions of Gene throughout like animations and even movies that you were able to sort of also maybe use that and bring that to the game for Gene?

yeah you know what i love that to me felt like a really common thread between all these beautiful actresses that brought their work to whichever medium we've we've been able to enjoy gene as there's such a stillness with her she is so incredibly powerful yet she doesn't announce herself almost ever it feels like it's almost like we're coaxing her to become what she can ultimately become and to understand the great power that she has.

There's one of those that are together, and maybe they don't have a child, but they are together.

They are the Gene and Scott.

It's Gene and Logan, right? So that's where, for me, when they are adapting stuff with X-Men and Wolverine, it's like, well, we got tons of that stuff, so I can see them.

With Court of Owls, We don't have tons of stuff, right? We got the Gotham Knights video game, which was fine.

And then that's kind of it and not comic book medium, right? Of course, there it's been done a few times, but not really anywhere else.

Like, you could fly.

Like, he's supposed to be as strong as Gene.

This, like, okay.

You know, Cable's able to overcome Gene and Scott.

Yeah, he did a skit where Professor Xavier fires the X-Men, and one of them is Cyclops, and he goes, so how do you have sex? Do you wear the glasses while having sex? I mean, what happens if they fall off? Do you just vaporize gene?

How about Emma Frost? Maybe that's why he likes psychic so much.

Or like, I guess we have to do that.

So they come to the future and Gene's like, where's me? Where's older me? And they're like, everybody's kind of like, so I don't know.

And then her psychic powers unlock like before they would have originally and without any of Xavier's interference.

So now she's like, oh my God, I'm a telepath.

Like what's happening? And then there's a whole situation where older Hank was dying and young Hank has to fix him.

And he's like, Gene, I need you to make a psychic bridge for us.

So they all go into older Hank's mind.

This is before this, obviously.
