You know, coming off the Jazzwise magazine, the newest album on that list was from 2015.

And there was only a few in the 2000s on our list, the Jazzwise list, in the first place.

So we didn't hear a lot of... let's say, newer jazz.

Our foundation is in the Jazzwise list from the early 20s all the way until the 60s and 70s, you know, with Weather Report and everything else.

So I'm excited to get into this new list, 2,000 and above from Nate Chin.

And I'm super excited.

I just want to say thank you for joining us on our journey.

We haven't said this in about 11 or 12 weeks, but we finished the JazzWise Top 100 and we never thought that that would be the end of our journey.

And what we're doing now is we're continuing our journey by using the list from the Nate Chinnen book.

It's funny because we haven't mentioned it this episode, but of course, we're done with our Jazzwise Top 100 albums.

And now what we're doing is we're using the list out of the back of Nate Chenin's book.

uh and we're starting with the year 2000 and nate has seven albums in the year 2000 we're only covering three of those albums we decided not to do every single album that nate uh that nate highlighted in his book but you mentioned danilo perez and he's on that list for the year 2000 with the album motherland so i just you you said that name and now that i've seen that name i'm gonna remember that name and i'm gonna you know start listening to that music So when you, this is the interesting thing about our journey here, you know, we, we get invested in these people because we've listened to them because we know their names and the foundation that we have from the jazz wise magazines, top 100. is leading us into the two thousands, two thousand and ones and beyond.

And so these names aren't imprinted in our mind.

a very young but extremely talented guitar trio called Humble, then Marcin Masecki Trio, and finally, because we're celebrating Warsaw and its rich heritage, we will present Warsaw Village Band, which is, as you mentioned, jazz adjacent.

And they're going to be playing their amazing sort of crazy galactic jazz music.
