LSU making their move to flip an in-state running back from Florida State.

We've got the latest Locked on LSU.

Here we go.

CalSheet, trade what's next.

Every week here on the show, we visit with Shea Dixon from On3, the Bengal Tiger, and we talk recruiting.

And as, of course, you can imagine, with NIL and the Transfer Portal, the landscape is and recruiting has just completely changed and you come to expect things that you might otherwise in a different era would never have expected which is why we're going to start with jayden miles if you're a recruiting fan you know the name if you're a high school football fan in the baton rouge area you know the name jayden miles is an outstanding running back at catholic high in baton rouge if you just look at his recruiting profile it tells you the story miles is um on the on three composite the number 398 overall prospect the 27th best running back he is a four star in the composite 24-7 thinks much more highly of jayden miles they have him as the 16th best running back in the country Well, Jaden Miles is currently committed to Florida State, and he did so over the summer.

And it's interesting because throughout their recruitment, there are two elite in-state running backs for 2027.

Good morning.

Please tell me LSU is pushing hard for Jayden Miles.

Watched him last night against Zachary, he's different.

Um, yeah, it's so interesting.

So the old staff...

Uh, I, by the way, I agree with you, I love Jayden Miles, the running back from Catholic High, for those who don't know.

The old staff loved Jayden Miles.

There was the two in-state kids.

And, again, like I've said on past shows, I don't think Ohio State is necessarily in a huge rush to get a running back commitment in the fold for 2027, even though they're sorely in need of one.

They want to get the right fit, not necessarily one to just – check a box and say that they feel the need and of course like we said they're going to take two so they're still doing the evaluation process with jordan hall he's now visited twice ternard roberts visited once and he the hope is that he'll visit again especially if they plan to move forward with him there are other running back options on the board jayden miles the florida state running back commit.

They hope to get him in for a visit sometime in November, I believe.

And then we'll see what happens with Alabama commit Nigel Newkirk, who is also recovering from an injury and should start suiting up pretty soon.
