Jayco, Inc.

I remember years ago, we were on a camping trip with mom and dad.

They had their Jayco.

Dad went to bring in the slide out and heard like a crunch.

And so I was like, stop.

So we have raffles.

We raffle Jayco RV vans.

You'll see those probably coming through on Facebook and Instagram and so on, those that are on social media.

I just came off this fabulous – car rally that we have called Escarpade.

In 2016, they paid down about $500 million in debt within under three years.

So they did an acquisition of Jayco.

They acquired Jayco, the RV company, and then they paid down that debt, $500 million approximately within three years.

And I don't see any reason why they couldn't do something similar when it comes to the Erwin Heimer acquisition.

Obviously, this acquisition was about $2 billion, so substantially more.

used to be the old aluminium.

The old pop-top Jayco, Sunbird.

Pop-top Jayco.

You had the old aluminium caravans, the Bondwood caravans.

It was about four or five brands of them.

The problem, we don't navigate ourselves.

We see this guy driving a BMW, driving a Jayco, you happy.

You think you, this is the man for me.

And they tell you so many beautiful words.

Where did you work?

I worked down at Jayco in West Beach, just across from Harbour Town.

And, yeah, been working there since February and feel like it's getting me in good routine.

And what do

I grew up with my parents RVing.

And they had a Jayco and then Holiday Rambler.

They started with a pop-up.

Actually, we started tent camping.

And then come to find my dad didn't like sleeping on the ground.

And from there, I think they had the pop-up and then the Jayco and then the Holiday Rambler.

So I grew up with that.

And then I'd say about 20-something years ago, I got my first Class A.

We got it down to I think three manufacturers on our shortlist.

So it was the Brinkley, it was the Pinnacle, which is made by Jayco, and then there was the Solitude, which is made by Grand Design.

They're all fifth wheels.

We knew that, that we wanted the, the premium luxury style fifth wheel because listen, this isn't just us going out on a, a short vacation, uh, for a couple of weeks and living in this thing.

They have a lot of great companies, companies that you're probably very familiar with or the viewers are very familiar with.

Companies like Airstream, Jayco, Dutchman Crossroads, Keystone, Thor Motor Coach, just to name a few.

And so, you know, they basically support those subsidiaries of in certain areas, but allow those subsidiaries to really kind of do what they want to do.

And because of that, again, very similar to Keystone, that decentralized nature, you get that, you know, different culture, different feel.

Like within Thor, I can tell you, the culture is different at Airstream than it is at Jayco, Jayco to Keystone, Keystone to Thor Motor Coach.

It's various cultures and that's a real positive thing too because you can develop your company around that and, you know, You know, they've been very successful in being able to do that.

Is there still a space for, you know, smaller boutique brands? It just it also seems like some of these brands, they they intend to put out a really cool, unique product and then they're looking to be acquired.
