What got you interested in research in the first place?

I was obsessed with, when I was growing up, I was obsessed with radio.

I was obsessed with music on the radio.

I listened to a lot of sports on the radio.

I was a kid that used to call into talk shows when I was very, very young.

And, you know, you find out when you meet other people that got into radio.

They have many of these similar stories where they might be riding in the back of the station wagon when they're growing up and listening to Casey Kasem on the radio and then literally talking up the intros to songs and then doing it on cassettes and recording themselves.
