We have amazing guests today, and I want to start this conversation off talking about the intersections of the AI data center build-out and other problems in our society, like white supremacy.

Um, DeVante and I were chatting before we started about a story you may not know, but a representative in the state of Louisiana, Jay Morris, in northern Louisiana, was not only the key person in pushing through legislation to try and eliminate majority Black congressional districts in the state of Louisiana, he's the same person who pushed through legislation to allow AI data centers, like the three thousand six hundred acre Hyperion data center, to be built in Louisiana.

But before he pushed that legislation through, he bought all of the land in the area and then flipped it and sold it to the company as part of his legislative strategy.
