Watched from the old schoolboy enclosure at Hampden, which for those of you not old enough to remember where that would have been, or I guess it probably didn't move around, but that was right at the front in the standing sections in front of the seats of the old main stand at Hampden.

So I had a good view of players' boots and socks for that afternoon.

I guess I was a fairly tall kid, but yeah, I was still just eight years old, so...

So I'm primary school friends with Chris Crichton and he... was good enough to persuade his uncle to throw me in the back of the car when they went in for the first game of the season.

So that was my first game and we won 2-0.

And so similar, kind of similar to you, Martin, it may be unfair on this particular player, but my first goal scorer was Bobby Connor, but in fairness I think he's one of a raft of players that probably don't get the credit and the reverence they deserve given that you know you have so many great players at Aberdeen especially from the Gothenburg era that someone like Bobby Connor who you know played over 200 games for Aberdeen was part of the cup double winning team in 89-90 and yet very rarely proud and pleased that Bobby Connor is my debut goalscorer so there we go right next question and I'm definitely putting this to Richard so this is from The Little Kicks and I will share a story that Richard won't want me to share that Stephen the lead singer from The Little Kicks came up and was very very kindly came and introduced himself to me when we were in the pub some random Saturday night after a game last season and I think Richard got annoyed at me that he was sitting right next to me and I never actually introduced him.

So Richard, the Little Kicks are genuinely interested in how or if you see the likes of Smith, Mahou, Ugan and basically the wingers working in the team in the latest current setup.

Jay Henderson, Bradley Giacomo, Turriff.

Henderson started, played the full 90 minutes as Turriff lost 3-1 at Invergordon.

Giacomo was an unused sub.

Cyril an unused sub as Peterhead fell to a 3-1 defeat there.

Elgin City a long trip for them to take on Anand in League 2 Aaron Cummings an unused substitute in that one a 2-0 defeat there for Elgin imagine having to sit the whole way from Elgin to Anand to not even get on the pitch you'd be raging not be very happy it's fair to say Theo Simpson was an unused sub for Forfer as they lost 5-1 at Spartans JJ Hulse at Bucky a 3-0 defeat for Bucky at home to Huntley Hulse was not in the squad but for Huntley though Sam McLean and Lewis Carroll both played the full 90 minutes McLean scored two of Huntley's three goals so well done to them Jay Henderson and Bradley Chacoma no game for them James Jarvie at Devon Vale he was an unused sub as Devon Vale took on Keith at Kinnick Park Max Poplington and Heath Duncan both started in that one for Keith Popkinton substituted on 73 minutes, but a goal and an assist for Heath Duncan again.

He got the full 90 minutes in that one.

Rodrigo Vitals wasn't in the squad for the Highland League Cup preliminary round at Wick.

Very, very good.

Jay Henderson is starting to find his feet now.

And yeah, look, Adam Brooks has come in.

Can you be the great entertainers as well as the team that's lifted the Gibson Cup? Can those two things work together long term?

Yeah, why not? I think when you have players like Will Patchen, Dylan Boyle, Ben Whaley, that's just the three that played in sort of the central positions.

Saturday and then up front you can play either McGregor, Henderson Cooper, Brooks Shevlin, I don't want to leave anybody out because we have that many up there, you've Murray you've got so many options, I'm probably leaving three or four out that's really obvious but yeah we can be, I think the formation that we play lends for that and like Will Patchen is just an absolute orchestrator in the middle of the park so good to work and I forgot to mention Rob Slevin since he's come in at the back he's been phenomenal very very good at centre half alongside Big Aidan because
