But this band was formed in Illinois back in 1987 with Jay Farrar, Jeff Tweedy and Mike Hairdon.

Now, they had a bit of a falling out at one stage and Farrar and Hairdon made up the band Sonvolt and, of course...

Like, what? Jay Farrar is literally at the Veterans Hall in Collinsville, Illinois at the record show? Unbelievable.

So what do you know? What do you know? Well, what a wonderful topic.

And you know what? I've probably said this before when we talked about Uncle Tupelo.

I agree with you in the sense that that Tweedy needed to leave the band in order to come into his own as a songwriter and artist.

I feel the same way about Jay Farrar.

I think that his stuff with Sunvolt that he does after this.
