When you look back, what was the hardest pass-catching thing you had to work on? I know you continually evolve, but is it the deception, the hand, the tracking? What was that thing?
3:09
[clears throat] I've always been talented with catching the football, honestly.
3:16
Um, I think just over time, my development, uh, that I look towards, you know, look forward to in the off season is getting bigger, faster, stronger, um, growing into my body.
3:29
Um, um, but when it comes to catching the football, I've been-- I'm-- I know I'm super talented in that area, so it's just, just repetitions and staying on top of it and, and focusing, um, catching a lot of passes in the off season, so when I'm, I'm ready during the season.
speaker_2UNKNOWN
3:46
Where do you, where do you think you're better this year in your game? Like, when you nitpick yourself in little things, where do you think you've made a stride forward?
3:53
Yeah.
3:54
Um, I would say first just having last season to go off last season, just the, um, I think reps and time is the most valuable thing for me right now.
4:08
Um, just building off what I did.
21:52
For you guys to get another Super Bowl ring, what do you think you've got to do to take that last step to get it again for the Seattle Seahawks?
22:01
That's a good question.
22:02
I mean, I think we have to – I think we have to bury our egos and really just, like we say, run it forward.
22:11
We understand that this is a new season.
22:14
This is a new story, a new team, so to speak.
22:18
We have a lot of guys returning, but it's a new chapter in the Seattle Seahawks, and that's just what it is.
22:24
We have to move forward and accept the challenges, accept the new challenges that we haven't faced before.
23:01
got one more question for him okay because i always ask the guys that are stamped you know i call it bs you got pelts on the wall now okay you got a super bowl ring the chat wants to see the super i'm not gonna make you go get it but what i am gonna ask you about is this young buck at the buckeye institution the ohio state university jeremiah smith give me and the rest of our chat and viewers you know what's coming down the pipe with this young man because he's pretty fun to watch
29:57
How how how is life different from you for you over the last year from this point, week three of this year, week three of last year?
30:07
I would say just the media, just the media attention.
30:09
You know, you have, you have the hard knocks, you have, you know, people just wanting to understand how we're so good and, and why we're so good.
30:19
Um, the ins and outs, you know, kind of the behind the scenes.
30:22
So really just managing that.
30:24
And, um, but yeah, that's, that's really it.
30:28
I mean, I keep it pretty simple, you know, show up to work, do my job, go home and, deal with friends and family when I get a chance or I'm resting.

36:57
Do you meditate? Is that part of your world or yoga? Where does this come from?
speaker_2UNKNOWN
0:40
What is it that works between you two?
0:42
Man, man, it's hard to – break it down, but I mean, I think it's just something special.
0:51
I mean, Drew, he is a special talent and sees the field very well and can make any throw, and I know he's looking for me, and I just want to be there for him, and we've been having a special connection for a minute now, but I'm super happy the way he just came in and carried himself and carried this team, and it shows time and time after Again, you know how good he is.
speaker_6UNKNOWN
2:52
Do you see any difference or any evolution from that regard?
2:56
Yeah, I mean, the more reps you get, I think this week of practice, this week of practice definitely got us ready.
3:06
And we knew what to expect with Drew.
3:08
And Drew was, he always prepares like the one.
3:10
But I'm sure it is a little different coming into the week, knowing for sure you're the one.
5:01
So what's it been like for you? What's winning a Super Bowl been like and how has it kind of impacted your life?
5:10
How it impacted me, I mean, on...
5:16
Really, I mean, that's good because I try to not let it impact me as in who I am and my goals and who I want to be and, you know, my values and stuff like that.
5:38
really the only things that's really changed is of course is the media obviously got a signed a contract this this spring um but you know i wouldn't say that would change my lifestyle like i would not want it to to change my lifestyle just because i get a little bit of money or i win a super bowl so now my morals are all over the place now now i need this this and this really just um Sticking to who I am, honestly, has always been the plan and something that I wanted for myself and for teammates and others.
6:14
And I think with the stability of Christ in my life, I think that's what he brings.
6:23
And yeah, that's what I would say on that.
7:51
How much do you appreciate playing for a coach like Mike McDonald?
7:54
Man, he's one of the best coaches, not the best coaches, you know, I could ask for.
speaker_6UNKNOWN
2:48
How big was the belief you guys have built over the last couple years coming to
2:53
Oh, man, huge belief.
2:55
Like, going into the game, I know our defense is going to give us the ball and give us opportunities, and that's the best feeling, you know, to be for me in the offense, just having that belief that, you know, defense has our back.
3:08
Special teams are going to go out there and do their job.
3:10
It's not all on me.
3:10
We have Cooper Cupp making big plays.
3:13
We have Shee making big plays.
speaker_2UNKNOWN
3:31
Can you talk about what they bring to the game?
41:44
What on earth does that look like?
41:48
Honestly, I couldn't even tell you what it looks like.
41:50
I know it's for me, it is the process, though, just adding to my process and how I get better and how I get ready for the season and staying ahead of things I might face during the season.
42:06
And it's just building off that.
42:08
Honestly, I couldn't tell you.
42:09
I don't know exactly what it's going to look like, but I know, you know, we put the work in and we've had a tough training camp and that I've gotten better, you know, just facing these challenges that, you know, Mike and the rest of the team presents, you know, to myself and the offense.
42:26
So like I said, though, even before Super Bowl last year, You know, just focusing on the main ultimate goal.
42:44
Is there any little detail that you're working on there? Like what's a little thing that you're really into right now with your
9:24
What stood out to you the most about your development there to turn you into the receiver you are today?
9:30
Man, um, gotta give credit to Coach McMurty, our, our head, uh, strength coach, coach there.
9:37
I mean, a legend.
9:39
Y- a legend, been doing it for years and years.
9:42
Came in, you know, with Urban Meyer, um, from Florida.
9:45
So I would say, you know, the toughness and, and the things he had us do definitely built.
9:52
And I, and I think the recruiting aspect of it all, honestly.

Yeah, I mean it's tough, but, you know, we gotta move forward.
224:02
You know, I mean, that's all we can do.
224:04
Um, figure out, you know, what is our problem, um, which, you know, I don't think it's hard to see and which is, you know, just executing, you know, and hone down on our assignments and, um, you know, just get the job done.
224:19
And, uh, that's about it.
224:21
You know, we got a bye week, you know, rest up and get ready for San Fran.

It, uh, maybe hasn't been his most productive season, but what's he meant to you guys in terms of leadership and maybe helping a young receiver like you?
311:56
I mean, he means everything, everything to this organization, um, how he carries himself, um, just everything he's done for this organization and city.
24:54
How have you felt that, A, the show has been, and, B, the fun little back and forth a week ago?
25:00
Yeah.
25:02
I think it's super cool, honestly.
25:04
I loved watching Hard Knocks growing up and just seeing all the fun clips and pretty cool clips of, you know, kind of the back story of teams and just learning what they do, you know, what the fans don't see, I think is awesome.
25:20
For me, being actually in it this year, you know, I do love my privacy and I love, you know, having conversations and growing without the camera.
25:30
The camera's always in your face and stuff.
25:32
I don't love that.
29:03
Can you give me a couple ways you think you do that?
speaker_5UNKNOWN
5:13
play? Yeah, in terms of the way you run routes, does it matter who you're next to when you're running those routes? Do you have to make any adjustments based on how they run their routes?
5:20
Oh, I would say, you know...
5:25
I would say not really, but you got to be able to adjust on the fly.
5:29
You know, when you got Sheed next to you, you know, he's a, he can fly.
5:33
So, you know, the windows might open up pretty, a little bit more faster with him and, you know, Torrey Horton.
5:39
And then when I'm next to Coop, you know, we're playing kind of like a pick and roll kind of thing.
5:45
So just understanding that, being more patient and understanding, you know, what the defense is trying to do and taking advantage of that, you know, usually when I line up next to, So it is different.
