Jaws 19

A Jaws 4 means it's ranked as a bad movie.

Oh, and if you ever saw Back to the Future Part II, you know that there's a Jaws 19.

That ranking indicates that the movie is so incredibly bad that it's actually fun to watch as a result.

Back to the Future Part II was one of ILM's most groundbreaking projects at the time, being one of the effects house's first forays into digital compositing.

There's also a brief moment of computer-generated imagery when a holographic shark is used to promote a fictional Jaws 19.

That shark was the first iteration of the effect, a basic test shot done by ILM's digital department.

It was kept because effects supervisor Ken Ralston liked the fact that it was all messed up.

It won the Saturn Award for Best Special Effects, and it also won the BAFTA Award for Best Special Visual Effects.

And obviously, Back to the Future Part 3 released six months later, but I'll save that for a potential future episode that hopefully won't take quite so long.

Back to the Future Part 2 may not have predicted flying cars, food dehydrators, or Jaws 19 directed by Max Spielberg, but it did correctly predict a number of technological and sociological changes that occurred by 2015, including the rise of ubiquitous cameras, use of unmanned flying drones for news gathering, widescreen flat-panel television sets mounted on walls with multiple channel viewing, smart home technology, video chat systems, hands-free video games, talking animated billboards, wearable technology, tablet computers with fingerprint scanners and head-mounted displays.

Although payment by thumbprint was not widely used in 2015, fingerprint scanning was used as security in places such as airports and schools, and electronic payment with fingerprint scanning was a security feature for Apple Pay.

The National Space Center in Leicester, which isn't far from where I live, hosted a Back to the Future night where visitors could build their own DeLorean before heading to the Retro Computer Museum to try classic 80s games.

Universal Studios released a spoof trailer for Jaws 19, directed by Max Spielberg.

I heard it lacked the bite of the previous 18 Jaws movies, though.

Proceeds from many of the events for Back to the Future Day would be donated to the Michael J.
