TJ WengertHOST
21:04
Um, I might mix it up just to go offensive tackle 'cause we've been talking about it but we haven't done it yet.
TJ WengertHOST
21:10
Bergeron and then Jawaan Taylor.
TJ WengertHOST
21:11
Yeah, I'm gonna go Trevor Goosby here.
Steve LetiziaHOST
21:13
Mm.
Nathan ZeguraHOST
21:43
Yeah, it was the first game.
Nathan ZeguraHOST
21:44
It was, like, Jawaan Taylor maybe.
Bo BishopHOST
21:45
Yeah, and he got, it was, like, 10 penalties-
Nathan ZeguraHOST
21:47
In the first game, yeah
Nathan ZeguraHOST
20:33
Yeah, it was the first game.
Nathan ZeguraHOST
20:34
It was, like, Jawaan Taylor maybe.
Beau BishopHOST
20:35
Yeah, and he got ...
Beau BishopHOST
20:36
It was, like, 10 penalties-
Robert MaysHOST
13:33
Like you said, Derek, Jake Matthews got hurt in the middle of this game.
Robert MaysHOST
13:38
I know that Bijan is walking through the door for the Falcons, but this is a team that signed Jawaan Taylor off the street before the season started and has their backup left tackle for 50 of the 60 snaps on offense, and they're running the ball at will.
Robert MaysHOST
13:49
Like, there, there's no explanation as to why the Falcons should be able to do that and why you can't do anything on the ground if you're the Saints.
Dave HelmanHOST
13:56
Correct me if I'm wrong, but, and I, I understand it's a big disappointing loss, but Kelvin Banks is the only problem right now.
Jason AndersonHOST
14:13
I, I, but I, I do think there's a level of we are appropriately grading on a curve for Khaliil Benson.
Jason AndersonHOST
14:22
Um, just as Jawaan Taylor wasn't...
Jason AndersonHOST
14:24
Jawaan Taylor was graded on a different curve, because he was getting $20 million.
Sterling HolmesHOST
14:28
Correct.
Jason AndersonHOST
14:28
Um, and that's where, like, you know, you talk about Jaylen Moore on the right side versus Khaliil Benson, it's also one of the reasons when the Chiefs offered Orlando Brown and he said, "No, thank you," that they weren't gonna sit around and have Orlando Brown shop his services and then come back to the Chiefs, and then the Chiefs miss out on other guys.
Jason AndersonHOST
14:46
So they paid Jawaan Taylor.
Jason AndersonHOST
14:47
Like, that's, that was part of the process that took place when people were like, "Why'd they pay Jawaan Taylor?" Well, they were gonna give that money to Orlando Brown, and he said no.
Jason AndersonHOST
14:55
He wanted more money.
Jay BinkleyGUEST
50:59
Like you're not paying that big time tackle money that you see the tackles make in the NFL right now.
Jay BinkleyGUEST
51:05
You're not paying that Jawaan Taylor contract.
Jay BinkleyGUEST
51:07
You're getting an undrafted free agent, possibly a future starter for your football team.
Jay BinkleyGUEST
51:12
That's huge, 'cause you can now use that money and allocate it somewhere else.
Bob FescoHOST
5:56
...
Bob FescoHOST
5:56
Jawaan Taylor.
Dusty LikensHOST
5:56
Jawaan Taylor.
Bob FescoHOST
5:56
Jawaan Taylor.
Bob FescoHOST
5:57
Yeah.
Dusty LikensHOST
5:57
Chris Collinsworth.
Zachary SmithHOST
16:53
what about uh alan i'll start with you uh what about in the trenches uh you make this matchup because i do think atlanta's offensive line is kind of feast or famine i like three of the players and then i think there's pretty big question marks at two of the spots and then obviously i like the steelers defensive line to be able to create a bunch of havoc up front in the past game but with how fast i'm expecting cooper rush to get rid of the ball i'm curious to see how much of that they're even able to dial up so what do you make of the uh the trenches there atlanta's offense if line going against the steelers defensive line i
Alan SaundersHOST
17:26
mean i don't think anybody's tackles feel good against the steelers but i really don't think i mean joan taylor banged up um it's not a good group and and I think there's, again, I think this defensive line is going to be feeling good about almost every matchup this year.
Alan SaundersHOST
17:45
I am just curious to see exactly how much they can get pressure without blitzing and how much they need to blitz.
Alan SaundersHOST
17:54
I think that's a real unknown question here.
James FosterHOST
16:04
he's kind of patched together.
Cory KinnanHOST
16:07
yeah like if he gets to indie like what are these medicals gonna look like um you know this on like a a different extent but this kind of reminds me i don't know if you remember back i think it was 2019 was that the joan taylor year where joan taylor was seen as kind of ot1 in that class and he fell out of the first round because he had that uh it was like a degenerative knee thing i think that popped up for him and he fell out of the first round uh I kind of wonder if we might get some Goosby stuff in that regard.
Cory KinnanHOST
16:36
Again, and I'm not just saying that because it was a player that I'm lower on than consensus coming into the season, but the tape isn't great.
Cory KinnanHOST
16:42
He was injured this offseason.
Joe StarkeyHOST
15:27
You might be right about that.
Joe StarkeyHOST
15:29
And how about the matchup for T.J. Watt this week against Jawaan Taylor? I kinda like T.J.
Joe StarkeyHOST
15:33
Or, and, you know, you could put Herbig over there for, for a bunch of snaps, too.
Joe StarkeyHOST
15:38
I like the Steelers in this game.
