Javi Gracia

At Watford, yes.

Good luck to Kike Sánchez-Pérez and Javi Gracia for that game at Lincoln that they will co-manage.

Let's talk about Burnley then because, you know, Nicky Henn has lost his job and they are in all sorts of bother.

Yeah, yeah, they are.

I mean, Sonny Adams is obviously a prime example against Everton in 1998.

But Watford beat Chelsea... 4-1 in Javi Gracia's first home game.

And I thought he actually wasn't the fourth.

It was, I think it was the third.

And you just look through the past history of, um, of managers, and it's the same thing.

Why do you think they go back to Javi Gracia? Oh, 'cause that time was good, so let's re-enact that.

But also, Javi, as you know, nice guy, will push back a bit, but isn't gonna say, "Nah, that ain't happening." And, and you know, the only personal bit I have of frustration, and we spoke about it last night, is there was a time I was coming back, right? Again, not everyone knows this.

I was coming back, and it was, um, I'd say a couple years ago.

Um, what are we gonna do there? Who are we gonna play there? Are we gonna play Hato, or are we gonna play Chavarria? Are we gonna play Pellistri? Um, but I think what I was...

You know, what I'm really thinking about and, and what we're seeing now is why Javi Gracia was so keen to bring Chavarria in and why they worked so hard to get this deal over the line.

I mean, he's a workhorse.

He's quick.

I've gone back and looked and in the last 10 years since the beginning of the 2016/17 season, Watford have had 17 permanent managers.

18 appointments with Javi Gracia being there twice in that time but 17 different permanent bosses.

They're currently on their fourth manager, permanent manager since the beginning of last season.

Pozzalano, Gracia, Ed Still, and now Alessio Dionisi who-
