So the first time I ever saw this architecture was at JavaOne, I think it was 2001.

Mm-hmm.

And by far, the most popular session was the one talking about tuple space and this magic new thing they had created in the Java ecosystem that would do this, would handle this almost infinite scale kind of thing.

Danish is a senior staff engineer at the rental car company Sixt.

I first met Danish last year at JavaOne 2025, where he told me how his company was already running Java 24 in production, which was released just earlier that day.

When I met Danish again at this year's JavaOne, and he mentioned how he was running Java 26 in production, I knew I needed to have a conversation with him about how his company was able to keep up with the six-month Java release cadence.
