A Jatai in Tamil Nadu and a Jatai in Uttar Pradesh don't map onto each other neatly.

So Varna is the story the system tells about itself, and Jati is the machinery.

And the machinery is marriage.

Endogamy reproduces the boundary more effectively than any law could.

But he says if you have capacity for more, or desire for more, then you can have, Brahmin can have a Kshatriya wife, or a Vaishya or a Shudra.

So this is how the different Jatis came out by this mixture.

And Kshatriya can have, but first wife must belong to one's own Varna.

Because the son who will be born from that, he is the one who will become.

This is the wrong thing that happened to the Sikhs.

This is the nature, because you act according to your nature, so this comes in your behavior.

Jati comes from the jadhatu, which means born, you are born.
