And I really like also Noah Ostlund.

If you can get him, he's been on the top power play for a while now seems to be holding that spot at a power play goal a couple games ago it's anaheim no points with three shots today against la i feel like that's someone who might get dropped if someone needs a sunday savior and they're saying he's not going to play for a couple days but i would love to just like make a waiver claim and grab also and get him for the wednesday friday sunday and you can see from there but as long as he's like centering that second line and on the top power play it's a pretty nice spot for him and josh stone you know he's been struggling but this is the kind of guy i'm jumping on right now for a good schedule and you hope that he can pick it up don't playing on that line with osland and jack quinn then i guess another name you could consider there is jason zucker who has come back from his injury scored a goal in his first game hasn't done anything since getting low ice time i do wonder if at some point buffalo does give zucker a chance on the top power play but i guess you can wait and see right so maybe keep your eyes on gamedaytweets.com then interestingly a name i haven't mentioned is Josh Norris snoozer alert right and I think he's already kind of everyone knows that like he's down to only 4% rostered on Yahoo I guess I'm living in the past I remember there was a point where Josh Norris was like considered a really great player and he'd be rostered in the majority of leagues so the fact that Norris is only 4% rostered on Yahoo means I guess I don't need to tell you that he's a snoozer so Maybe on Wednesday, do you grab Josh Norris? He's playing on the third line.

Noah Ostlin is the guy I've kind of targeted in a lot of spots.

And I have him – I think I have him on three teams and – yeah the the underlyings were okay but he's starting to put some points on the board i love that josh norris what happened to you man oh god and then uh jason zucker big pimping he's actually been really good under the hood but i mean that's kind of his mo anyway because he's in and around the net all the time so he's going to get lots of lots of shots and lots of you know high danger scoring chances tell me about the sabers who do you like there
N

Yeah, I think Benson's the obvious one at the top of the list.
N
54:41Nate Groot NibbelinkHOST
I remember being poo-pooed a little bit by someone on this podcast when I said that I thought Benson could score 70 points this year.
N
55:20Nate Groot NibbelinkHOST
So he'd be my number two.
N
55:21Nate Groot NibbelinkHOST
Josh Jones probably number three.
N
55:23Nate Groot NibbelinkHOST
Josh Norris and Jason Zucker.

But yeah, I mean, I'm looking at going, what's the equivalent here? Colton Ellis, Jason Zucker and Gary Coolidge, a second and a seventh.
M
57:42Matt BurkeHOST
I would say would be the closest.
M
57:43Matt BurkeHOST
And I would say, honestly, that's a better package.
DYLAN LARKIN trade is worth an overpayment by the Buffalo Sabres
J
21:16Joe DiBiaseHOST
Well, what if they want Norris? Then I got to find two players that account for $7 million.
J
21:22Joe DiBiaseHOST
And when you're looking at who's expendable, Peyton Krebs and Jason Zucker make up $9 million.
J
21:28Joe DiBiaseHOST
That's an answer.
J
21:31Joe DiBiaseHOST
that's kind of it.

Now, I've actually rolled up the text that I sent to you, Matt, at the time, to read off, alright? Watching the Sabres Flyers game, don't know the result, but got cheeks already.

Clear's egress stick on Mishkov, Zucker gets called.
N
97:52NathanielHOST
As it's not a double minor, you can't review it.
N
97:55NathanielHOST
Clear as day, everyone knows, 5v3 bullshit.
N
99:18NathanielHOST
But by definition, when you have a highlight, it's not a subjective issue here of a hook or a trip or whatever like that.
N
99:26NathanielHOST
It's a high stick.
N
99:28NathanielHOST
And you can clearly see Zegers' stick go up and hit Mishkov in the face and not Jason Zucker.

Jason Zucker.

at 32 years old had 25 points in 51 games and nashville paid a sixth round pick to get him so you have to really go back to 2022 to find a deal that you like that's not going to cut it for dubas if you start really parsing it right where I believe that the Ottawa Senators rejected Ricard Raquel for their 25th overall pick at the 2026 NHL Draft.
D

I don't know that for certain.
Colten Ellis SHUTS OUT the Sharks and makes case for most starts for the Buffalo Sabres
J

And that's their own choosing, and they're going to suffer for that probably all season.
J
20:34Joe DiBiaseHOST
So there was a play Jason Zucker made, a few plays, where he was all around the boards and the Sharks couldn't keep up with him, like stopping and going and couldn't get near him.
J
20:43Joe DiBiaseHOST
And it killed like 30 seconds to a minute when there was only a few minutes to go and the Sabres had the lead.
J
20:48Joe DiBiaseHOST
And before that, even before they had the lead, chances all over the place.
