On today's episode, I am going to speak with two masters of wine from very different perspectives, two very esteemed wine critics.

I'm your host, Jason Wise, and we are coming to you from Mexico in the high desert in the state of Coahuila, where the oldest winery in the New World is located, Casa Madero.

And there is a festival taking place here in the town of Parras de la Fuente, where Casa Madero is located, that is the harvest festival to end all harvest festivals.

It goes back many hundreds of years, perhaps even past that, and, uh, it is something that blends Catholic tradition with native tradition and many, many, many hundreds of years of people who have worked the fields to grow grapes.
