It's like asking your wife to marry you, frankly.

You know what I mean? You can practice it all you want, right, guys? And then it just happens the way it happens, right? So you're just like, hi, I'm Jason Upton.

I'm your biological son.

You know, it's a strange thing.

So you just kind of have to get yourself prepared for it.

So I finally get the guts to call her, and when I call her, I just say my name.

Because of course, she doesn't know my name's Jason Upton.

She thinks my name is Steven.

And that's, again, the invitation.

Can you see what I see? Can you hear what I hear? And I remember Jason Upton did a song around that many years ago.

But it's an invitation.

It's an invitation.

And you see what it's doing is creating a beacon of hope for other people just simply You're not alone.

I mean, Jason Upton had that powerful song, You're Not Alone, just singing that over you.

You're not alone.

Like, it's so encouraging and so simple.

And I was praying and I was getting frustrated.

And then my friend runs into Jason Upton on a Mother's Day service at his tiny church in New York.

And he calls me afterwards.

He's like, Inger, I don't know, but I was sitting there.

And be patient.

And understand that God is using this time of disillusionment To break up – this is actually – Jason Upton said this in a – speaking of charismatic, I actually am still a Jason Upton fan.

But Jason Upton said this in one of his songs.

He's like, the thing I love about disillusionment is it breaks up the illusion.

And, you know – That's true.

Yeah.

Listen, when I talk to Jason Upton, and I don't know what the heck he's talking about, I just pretend like I do.
