Jason Sudeikis

So, uh, those make sense to me.

We're also going to see our rookies or pseudo rookies from last year, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig, uh, all be promoted to repertory players.

So we're gonna have 11 cast members, which will be the smallest group since Season 23.

Uh, this is something that, Sammy, we talk about all the time on the podcast about just dreaming of the days of going back to a cast that's in the teens, because it really does feel...

And, uh, here we do have our 11 cast members.

So I wanna talk about a couple of situations that happened with some of these cast members prior to the season starting, because I do think it kind of, uh, helps inform what we may see into these episodes.

So the first one I do wanna talk about is Jason Sudeikis, who to me is somebody, as you mentioned, really is able to shine and find his path given the loss of Chris Parnell.

But there is a weird situation that happened, Sammy.

Yeah.

And I have a hard t- I, I do my best not to, uh, get into the critical commentary, you know, reading, reading articles about Jason Sudeikis as a showrunner.

And that's this all blue shoe.

This is the one if you guys remember when I did interviews for the Ted Lasso premiere, this was the shoe that Jason Sudeikis was actually wearing on the red carpet.

And this is also the colorway that Caitlyn gifted to her Indiana Fever teammates.

So we saw a little video of them like getting hype, holding the shoes.

I would just encourage everybody to think a little differently about your ingredients.

We are in Kansas City, so I think Jason Sudeikis is local, and he has the saying in his, what's the show called? The Soccer Show.

Did I tell you that I listened to Olivia Wilde on, I think it was on Call Her Daddy? And she revealed that Jason Sudeikis, her birthday was like March, like early March.

he didn't do anything for her and like at all or give her anything or do anything.

And she was like, what the hell? You didn't like get me a gift or anything.

It had a very short run in 2016.

And John Keating was played by Jason Sudeikis.

And I was like, hmm.

i don't see it but that's yeah i i i could be proven wrong but i just saw the name and i was like hmm interesting

And it's just the kind of, it's about like a mutated Spratt, like a Mo it's a Kaiju movie.

a good one yeah it's good it's great crack oh i forgot about colossal colossal could be on the list i love colossal colossal is this one where anne hathaway plays this drunk who moves back to her hometown and discovers that when she walks through a playground at a certain time of day she appears as a kaiju in south korea okay and then it's like it kind of like you don't really know like what movie is this going to be after that point and it's very like funny it's very weird but it's also like really dark and there are bits in it where it's like the weird jason sudeikis is in it and he plays this guy and it's like if you've ever been in like an emotionally abusive relationship you're just so like you'll be so triggered by just seeing jason sudeikis he's so what he's he's his performance is so good do you know what i mean he's so like because he's one minute he's like i kind of like yeah this guy who owns his own bar and everybody's drinking and having a laugh and then he'll just like oh yeah do you remember when you got that girl pregnant yeah i forgot about that yeah or something like that do you know what i mean like pull up like the thing that will like cut you down like they've had it they had it on the tip of their tongue the whole fucking time you know what i mean yeah um he just has this perfect like oh he's so he's so yeah it's really good i love colossal um would i put it in the list though does it stand up there with green room barry lyndon pride i mean i watch pride like multiple times a year i i love pride And I think Fantastic Mr Fox is a very like pivotal film for me.

It's very like I just think it's gorgeous and it's about all the things that I like.

And it's like one of those lightning in a bottle things where like everything is worked perfectly with it.

I haven't even watched it.

Oh, I love Jason Sudeikis, by the way.

Love him on SNL.

He was great.

But I have seen Ted Lasso, right? So the new season is out and we're watching Ted Lasso.

And I think one of the things that Ted Lasso does, the character, of course, Jason Sudeikis, one of the things he really does well with his players, who he's coaching, is he really, really listens and he tries to understand where they're coming from.

And he even does it with his friend, Coach Beard, right? Beard will say something and sometimes he'll say something back to like, just to make sure that like they're on the same language.

Now, a lot of times their communication style is they're already letting the other one know, like they snap at each other and they point, they do these things where they point like bingo, like you got it, you're on it.
