Spezza, the last time he spoke, that was near the beginning of August, made a remark that certainly came across as if he were suggesting that, no, this roster's not done.

He even said something along the lines of, it's early August.

yeah so that was the first time we heard that from genos jason spezza did say yesterday that he he said the same thing about sid that like sid doesn't want to play if he's not at that level but yeah we've never heard it from from sid himself but Yeah, I have another Gino clip too that kind of ties into that, that he's not, he had like no interest in the nostalgia talk at all.

And like, how cool is it that you've been together for 21 years? That's not why he's back here.

heading into this season but like i said we also heard from uh assistant general manager jason spezza on sydney crosby said i think that sid is going to play for a long time if he continues to see where uh see things this way where that falls into the contract i do think it's less of a concern for us internally and probably for him at this point he's basically just saying hey yeah like We're obviously going to sign Sidney Crosby if he comes to us and says he wants to play one more season.

But at this point, it's up to him.

If he wants to stay here for one more year, we're going to let him stay here.
